SMC has reached a significant
milestone in its history – the completion of 20 years in business. With a staff
reorganization, announced in January 2009, fully implemented,
SMC continues to address the impact of the country’s economic
downturn on future business. The professional and technical staff is fully
committed to the keys to success – excellence in client service and timely
completion of projects using the latest in surveying instrument technology.
SMC has expanded its equipment inventory with the
acquisition of another Trimble R8 GNSS geodetic receiver and a Trimble S6
robotic total station. This recent equipment acquisition together with
SMC’s Trimble VX Spatial Station and other R8 GNSS
receivers provides additional capabilities for 1-person “integrated surveying”
opportunities. The equipment resources combined with the dedication of the staff
to performance excellence has positioned SMC to
take full advantage of the economic recovery programs being promulgated by the
federal government.
Recent infrastructure projects being undertaken by SMC
include water main projects in Saugus and Taunton, MA and at a proposed water
treatment facility in Mansfield, MA. SMC has also
recently completed the road and sewer infrastructure project in Yarmouth, MA, a
project that included both aerial and ground survey and the delivery of color
digital orthophotos from the low-level color photography acquired by
SMC in April 2008.
Press releases will be posted on this site from time to time that will keep you
abreast of the continued achievements of SMC.
